Two men were shot and killed early Monday in the waiting room of an illegal Los Angeles dispensary. Details on the Veterans Day killing remain thin, but police did reveal on Tuesday that one of the dead is David Corrall, Jr., 36, of South Pasadena.

An LAPD spokesman said that employees and customers of the dispensary on the 400 block of Western Boulevard heard gunshots coming from the waiting room. Upon arrival, police found the dispensary was locked up and the bodies of Corrall and a person as-yet unnamed unresponsive and not breathing. The employees and customers had escaped through a back door.

Police suspect the deaths are the result of a botched robbery attempt.

The call to LAPD took place at 4:20, according to media reports.

Los Angeles is experiencing a spike in illegal dispensaries that has left the city with 10 times the number of unlicensed operations as legal ones.
